The Result of my Colour Coding Efforts

I said I would try colour coding at home and so I did! I felt a little silly doing it but I reckon our shelves of DVD's look pretty good... unfortunately now I will never buy DVD's just for their entertainment quality, its all about the colour!! Thats a little bit worrying isn't it?

Blackboard Creations

What could you do with a bit of blackboard paint?....Boards, whole walls, doors, different shapes, over furniture, as speech marks, in picture frames, as calendars, for kitchens, dining rooms, study's, hall ways and everything else.

We have a board that we painted with Magnetic Blackboard Paint and hung from our utility cupboard door, it's magnetic so is really useful. We use it for obvious things like shopping and to do lists but its so much fun to have when friends come over and they just doodle away (note: there is always someone that thinks it's funny to draw something rude!).

It's a Deer!

I've just bought an amazing 3D cardboard deer trophy from Lazy Bone after seeing this one on Flickr that someone had covered in a map.

I'm so excited about it arriving and might even try covering it in something crazy too! Will get a photo up as soon as it arrives.

Retro Appliances

As soon as I have the opportunity (i.e. money) iconic retro 50's style stoves and refrigerators are going to make a come back in my kitchen! I think massive American style fridges from Big Chill and Smeg that take up half the kitchen are amazing and they come in so many colours, I really like the pastel ones.They are such a statement and so much more fun that the boring chrome and white modern fridges (unless they're super mod and have the TV's in it, wouldnt say no to one of them). Here are some of my fav appliances...

On my Christmas wish list.... #1

It may only be October but I am going to officially start off my Christmas wish list and it's going to be with these amazing Amy Butler vases. They're so beautiful and the colours are amazing, they would look great with just simple white flowers or even empty. I like that they have a sort of paper mache/ home made feel to them, makes me want to get making.

Hint hint to the boyfriend!!
